What is your current status as a writer
Published Author, Multi-published Author
What type of stories do you Write or Read?
I'm a published author of several genres including fantasy, paranormal, romance erotica, and a modern-day western called Ridley's Rival, which was recently nominated for a 2007 TRS CAPA. No, I didn't win, but the nomination is more than enough, especially for my first published novel.

My first writing love is fantasy and as such, I try to incorporate a little bit of mage'ic into all my novels.

I'm also a managing editor, editor and cover artist for four publishers, which I absolutely love. I have the best bosses in the world!

In death's footsteps

Bobby, a tribute to you and your brother: I always feel reget and sadness when I hear of a death, whether in my family or a friend's family. When I lost my father, he was the first person that left me, and the first death I ever had to deal with it. Our daughter was three years old, and my father died when he was the same age I am now. The scars and hurt remain forever, and I've learned that time doesn't heal the pain...it just makes it more bearable to live with it. My father requested a certa… Continue

What has happened to Common Courtesy and Manners?

Okay, I'm venting because I just had to. When you stop and take the time to hold open a door for someone, you're taking the time to be courteous and polite, right? Do you say anything when they don't acknowledge you or say thank you back? I've gotten into the habit that when I'm ignored now, I tell the rude person in a very loud voice, "You're Welcome!" And every time, they turn and look at me like I've grown another frigen head. I find this more so in the younger generation, but lately, I've n… Continue

Ah, thanks so much, Dawne! That cover was done by Trace Edward Zaber (I love his work). Your covers are wonderful, too, I've gotta say. Thanks for the friendship! :)

Hi, Dawne.

Thanks for the comment on my blog post. I've always wanted to write a vampire story and thought a female vampire would be a fun twist.

Hi Dawne,

I'm just getting around to reading your note on the 9th. So sorry you're having so much trouble with your neck and throwing up from the pain.

My cousin's wife has Lupus and it's no fun either. All these diseases around for years you'd think they could come up with some cures. I hope you get better soon.

Thank you for the congrats on my latest contract.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

Hi Dawne, it's been a long time since anyone called me the "Big Cheese", LOL. I checked out your contest, it's great! Those are some gifts you're offering. Hope it goes well for you.

Well, that lawsuit was many years ago, Sandy...and yes, shame on the hospital. Two years ago, I tested positive for Lupis (twice), but according to the Specialist, I don't have it and I'm going running with it. If he'd said yes, I would never be able to obtain life insurance. Some days are good and others suck (as you know). So, I take one day at a time. All last week, I threw my neck out. It was so bad last Wedneday and Thursday, I was throwing up when I moved a certain way. The last time it was this painful bad was back in 1995 (yes, I even remember the date). It's getting better, slowly, but as I age, so does my recovery time (like so many other aspect in my life) LMAO!

You have a wonderful week, Sandy! We'll be talking soon (I'm sure). *winks*

Dawne,

For years I was diagnosed with MS instead of fibermyalgia. I was in my early 40's before they figured it out. To this day they consider it an arthritis even though it doesn't affect the bones. They came out with a new medication recently, but I can't use it without horrible side effects.

My sympathy for that poor nurse who suffered so much and shame on that hospital and their doctors for not keeping up on new diseases.

Thank you for the gentle hug.
Sandy
