- I write speculative fiction (supernatural, paranormal, science fiction, urban fantasy) for a young adult audience.
POWERS, Roaring Brook Press, 2006, is the story of two teens who develop psychic powers. Too bad they can't stand each other! It's a story about power in many forms--relationship, sexual, physical, and psychic. POWERS received an honorable mention by the Sunburst Award committee (Canadian.)
CHOICES, Roaring Brook Press, 2007, follows Kathleen as she slips between alternate universes in an attempt to find her dead brother. In the end, she makes the most difficult choice of her life. CHOICES is on the ALA Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers list.
Both books offer a little mystery, a little suspense, and a little romance.
