Yes, I am publishing under my own label, 2 Busy Publishing. Just started the label recently. Prior to that I have published with Createspace, Xlibris, IUniverse and now Lightning Source. Lightning is best I think because your price is wholesale and all round a better deal. YOu don't have a big upfront fee to have it done. You send your files in ready to print.
I have a website: www.SharonHays.com and I'm on Facebook. I'll check out your site. How did you publish? Traditional?
I wrote two paranormal mystery thrillers, Mysteerie Manor and Mysteerie Manor II. I have a children's book out already, The Tumbleweed Family and now in a couple of weeks the two new ones; An Opulent Tableau of Essence, which is a collection of artists prints and poems, from a few poets, but mainly my poetry and one art from myself. I have artists in the book from nine countries. Its quite an interesting and beautiful book. The other book is my second children's book, Adventures of Sadie Ladybug. I am anxious to get them out and sell. Its been a tough market. Hopefully it will improve and I will get on Kindle etc too with these. So tell me about yourself. :)
Thanks JUne! nice to make your aquaintance! I am sure we will chat now and then. ARe you also on FB and do you write or have a website?
I haven't had enough time to really dig into this blog site yet but will do very soon. Trying to finish a project upload for my last two books to be printed. Its been a long strange three days with this Lightning Source company. But I think we finally got it uploaded correctly and now just have to wait for proofs and hopefully they are good enough to place an order! WE can hope!! :)
I'm glad you are safe after Irene hit. There were 2 hurricanes that I will never forget, when I lived in the NE 45 years. I was very lucky during the 2. Both unexpected of time of arrival. Some things we just never forget. Happy Wednesday!
Many thanks for the link up. I’m looking at ways where we can help each other promote our material and ourselves. I suppose it begins with good communication. Did you have anything in mind in addition to this? I'm not that experienced in writing but I have a wealth of knowledge about people. This is the cover to my co-written book. You’d be welcome to post yours in my comments box. All you have to do is ask :-)
Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.
WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.
