WRITERS and READERS of DISTINCTIVE FICTION(WRDF)

Few of us have the luxury of being able to write for long, productive, uninterrupted stretches each day. And when life gets busy, it can be difficult to hold on to the belief that "yes, I am a writer."
I try to do some small thing each day, whether it is rereading and revising a chapter, sending out a submission, making a contact, writing a blog post. It may seem simple, but at the end of the day, I know I have accomplished a meaningful task. And the small things add up. A chapter a day, seven chapters a week -- in a month I have reread and revised my entire novel. And then on to the next step.
What works for you?

I have a set pattern of writing at night when the house is quiet.  Alot of time, I wake up early to write before the family stirs.  There are hours and hours of promoting, blogging, editing and writing in one day.  That's not including the any edits or deadline to finish also. Your system sounds great!  Keep it up!

Over the last 15 years, so many of us have Realized that we can't do it all in one day, 1 week, or 1 month. I too have followed your Routine, after a wake-up-call that there are Not 48 hours per day. Your Routine does work, relieves Stress & gives us a Sense of accomplishment. Very Good Topic! Thank you for Sharing!

Good logic for the busy person, Kathleen. I suppose a lot of it is down to self discipline and a good daily routine.
