Could use feedback

On my other personal blog, I posted the first chapter to the 3rd book of my series. Could use some feedback or find someone willing to help me with the critique process. The blog post is self - explanatory to what I'm needing and why. And as my friends know here, my 2nd book didn't get a wonderful review- yet. Still, the series isn't done and I'm not throwing the towel down yet. It ain't over until the fat lady sings... and I haven't stood in front of the mike yet. LOL. Thanks for those who do respond.
