Make Your Characters Come Alive!



Try these techniques to bring life to your characters, and find out who they really are.



1. Make a list of adjectives that describe your character. Use a thesaurus for words you may not think of off the top of your head.

One Small Thing a Day

Few of us have the luxury of being able to write for long, productive, uninterrupted stretches each day. And when life gets busy, it can be difficult to hold on to the belief that "yes, I am a writer."

Dealing with the Day

During my "free" days in this busy summer, I am devoting my mornings to promoting my soon-to-be-released novel, and finishing the next one.



Today so far:



I worked on my web site. One day soon I will be able to hire someone to do this technical dirty work. I struggled with updating the appearance, and then ran into a snag when the images on the home page decided to overlap across each other. So I have a call for help in to the powers that be.
