Seems like as writers we go for long stretches of time with no good news, no breaks, and a whole lot of nose-to-the-grindstone work. It can be disheartening and depressing. Last year was especially difficult for me. I felt like I was scattered and moving at a snail's pace trying to accomplish my writing goals.
