How Modern is Modern Art ... Really?

What exactly is so modern about modern art? This sounds like a silly question. Everyone assumes that the idea of spontaneous expression, free from the fetters of religious and political agendas were phenomena that developed at the end of nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. I have a deep appreciation of the things that artists like Picasso and Matisse accomplished, but in many respects their creations resembled works found in much earlier ages.…

The day had dawned

Yea - its here! Dreamweek was released today at Red Rose Publishing.

Its such a weird feeling seeing one's 'baby' all set out for all the world to see. I was wondering, do any of you our there feel a sense of detachment when you see your work in print, digital or hard copy? I write all my stuff long hand. It's when I connect with my story, whem I feel my characters. For me, this is the creative side. Once I put down on pc, it then becomes a ' business". Does anyone else work the same way?… Continue

Happy Ending--or is it? Adventures in Writer-land!

Wow. Today is the day I finish my novel, My Fair Demon. This was a rough

book to write. I love the hero so much but, as he is in the context of

the story--stubborn, opinionated, and down write wild at times--he was a hard

one to write.…

Latest Review for Angel of Windword!

"Maggie Dove draws the reader in from the very first sentence. As a historical romance, this book enables the reader to easily imagine themselves in Victorian France and England with descriptive prose and fluid dialect. Angelique is cleverly written, spirited and charming with a hint of mischief that makes her the perf...ect match for Nicholas Kent."
