Many of us here at WRDF are always looking for ways to support our community and its individual members. Here is an easy suggestion. When you make a tweet about your writing, blogging, book releases, contracts, etc., be sure to add the Hashtag - #WRDF11 to your tweets. as always
I tell myself that I am going to blog, write something and I don't do it. It has to be in my face to do it. I don't twitter as I suppose I should but then again I haven't seen as rules around on how much or where.
Usually I am on facebook, not networking, but building my frontierville or farm or cityville. Too much time spent on these things. It quiets the brain for a while though. So its good, but I need to make a schedule and stick to it. I used to do that. Dancing is on and I must…

After a recent discussion and the sharing of a few photographs with a friend regarding how our natural and local habitat can inspire us so much, I thought I'd ask the members here to post places that have given them the most inspiration, especially when it comes to writing.
Unless you are living in dense…

I'm fortunate to have an associate who is an amazing musician, a classical composer and arranger. I don't really have any regrets in my life, but when I look back at how I rebelled against my mother when she 'forced' me to take piano lessons, I could cringe. Psychology would have been the best method whereby my…

Time to Come Back
After Mike's post yesterday, I realized a lot of time had passed since I've been on the site. Seems like most of my time is spent blogging on my own blog, guesting on others, or trying to visit all those advertised on publishing sites so I'm seen as a supportive peer. Sometimes the task is overwhelming and, although I'm retired with no outside the home obligations, there still aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I set out to…

Recently I've had some nice encouragement from a WRDF member, Gary Val Tenuta, telling me that I should be exploiting more of the promotional material that I have for The Meadow novel. In particular he was talking about the video which is titled "The Story of The Meadow Book."
Normally, I make most of the videos myself and Elfreda, the co-writer to…

Blogging
Another good day, everyone ~
I love to read blogs, especially if the subject attracts me to reading more. I can only hope my own can do the same. But no matter, for I find inspiration and consolation in what I write, no matter the subject. I see several members have…

I will be a bit Slow. Was stung by a Scorpion on the Left foot, and it's plain awful. Very painful, swollen & will be extremely sore for a few weeks. I will be here as usual everyday, but will be Slow until the foot is normal once again.
Bear with me, and above all, Enjoy WRDF.

I’ve never missed a Formula One race in all the years that I care to remember. And that’s a lot, believe me. F1 is my passion. However, if someone asked me a specific question regarding a certain race on a particular date of any year I’d be hard pushed to answer. My problem is that I can’t hold the stats and I’d fail any sports quiz as a consequence.
Statistics do interest me, but for some reason my psyche won’t facilitate the retention of clutter. This leads me in nicely…

A New Concept in the Publishing World (I Hope)
I believe I have done something unusual in the publishing world. I am simultaneously publishing a YA series and a MG series with the same concepts, but rewritten for each age group.
The YA series, Seraphym Wars, debuts April 1 with Odessa. It is about 17 year old Myrna who must find and train the other six Vigorios to assist the Seraphym in a Holy War against the demons on their home planet of…
