A Review of Ace of Hearts Jean Holloway

I like the fact that Jean chose to take us back to the 80's for this story. She demonstrated that women as detectives were not readily accepted at that time. This point just added to the tension involved for the main character Shevaughn, as well has her involved with a much disliked reporter, and a high profile murder. The villain I hated from the outset due to the heinous nature of his crimes and his smarmy attitude.--I really wanted him to get caught in the end. I was surpised and the twist at… Continue

Chapter 1 Leaving.

Leaving

Michelle Davis should have left the dirty no good cheating scumbag the day after Liam’s birth. What a father he turned out to be, cared more about boozing and snorting blow with the guys than being home where he belonged with a wife and a young son.

Yet here she was three years later standing amongst the boxes and detritus that was currently her life. They were fresh off yet another move. One of many they had been forced to make over the course of their four year tumultuous marriage. S… Continue

Paranormal romance hadn't checked out until my friend started writing her book which will be paranormal romance, and asked me to read other authors so I could get a idea of what to expect :) Horror I have read some Stephen King, but find I like my other Authors more. At least places like this might give me new authors to look into.

Things worked out much better this Thanksgiving. Alivia is sleeping on the sofa next to me now, the family have all gone home. It was a wonderful day but the peace and quiet is always nice afterwards.

Hi,

I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time day to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,

Lynda
