Many thanks for the link up, Alberta. I’m looking at ways where we can help each other promote our material and ourselves. I suppose it begins with good communication. Did you have anything in mind in addition to this? I'm not that experienced in writing but I have a wealth of knowledge about people. This is the cover to my co-written book. You’d be welcome to post yours in my comments box or to the text facility on my page. All you have to do is ask :-)

I'm in the throes of helping to breathe a bit of extra life into WRDF. Can we be friends? If so, please add me.

Hi, Welcome to this site. I can't remember how I did it, but you seem to have your "my page" up and running and that's where you post it. If you have problems ask Lynda Coker who runs this site.
Best of luck to you.

Hi,

I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time day to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,

Lynda

Profile Information

Are you a writer, reader, or other industry professional
I'm an author of three memoirs, a speaker and instructor in writer's workshops.
If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?
I self-published all my memoirs and co-authored Loose Ends with five other authors who belong to "Authors Without Borders."
As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?
I write memoirs: A Healing Heart is about my relationship with my father, who was a retired Brigadier General in the Army. Miracles happen that take me on a ten day pilgrimage to Medjugorje in Bosnia.
My second memoir, Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round is about living in an abusive alcoholic marriage and losing my husband in 1985 at forty-five from alcoholism.
The sequel is about losing my daughter on November 22, 2006 at thirty-nine from the same demon after going down the same path as her father.
As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?
I like non-fiction. There is no favorite writer because all have something different to offer to a reader
If you're an industry professional, tell us a little about your area of interest.
I do teach workshops and do speaking engagements at rehabs, halfway homes or any organization wanting to hear about my losing a husband and daughter from alcohol abuse. Women's ministries ask me to talk on my spiritual changes or the affects of alcohol on the family.
How did you come to know about WRDF?
I got an email from a Bess announcing she was going to Texas for her first book signing.
What is your first impression of our site?
Believe it or not, I like the colors.
Do you have a website you'd like to post?
