Title: What Happened in Abbity Park
Author: Patrice Moore

Heat: Spicy

Blurb:
Elizabeth had turned down Galen's offer of marriage nearly a year ago. Having grown up in the foster-care world of broken promises, bleak reality, and bitter fighting, she sees marriage as a trap. When she agrees to adopt her foster-sister's infant son, she promises to do the best she can as a single mother.
But when the adoption is challenged by the boy's seedy bio-dad, Elizabeth is told by her attorney that marriage would strengthen her position as the adoptive mother. With Galen ready and willing to assume the baby is his, Elizabeth takes a deep breath…and lies.

Can she overcome this fear of marriage in order to keep the baby? One thing is clear: she won't abandon her son without a fight…even a dirty one.

Review:

Elizabeth Howard, adoptive mother to three-week-old Boyd, is faced with a bitter custody battle. The biological father demands his right to be a father to the boy even after abandoning the child’s now deceased, biological mother. To strengthen her case, Elizabeth is advised to marry. She ponders this very thought when she literally bumps into Galen MacFarland, the man whose marriage proposal she rejected ten months earlier. Staring at a miniature image of himself, Galen is convinced the child is his, and Elizabeth must decide how far she will go in order to retain custody of her son?

Ms Moore’s writing style is delightful. She welcomes you into the story with open arms and promises you an enjoyable stay. I read this story in one sitting.

Her characters are well drawn and I fell in love with Galen the minute he walked on the page. I did have a little trouble with Elizabeth. She used her insecurities like a weapon and although I understood them, I wanted more for Galen. With that said, Elizabeth does come around by the end of the book, leaving me with that ‘ahhh, all is right with the world’ feeling.

The plot is very believable. There is one line, actually one word, in the center of the book that made me suspect the story would have a huge plot twist at the end. I’ll only say in regards to that point, the author will not leave you disappointed.

Overall, this is a very good read and one that should find its way onto everyone’s bookshelf.

Title: Tasmanian Rainbow
Author: Pinkie Paranya
Genre: Romance
Page Length: 220
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
ISBN: 1-60154-289-5
Heat Rating: Sensual

Review:

Pinkie Paranya’s Tasmanian Rainbow couldn’t be better titled or better written. This is one of the most heartwarming, memorable stories I’ve read in awhile, and I read a lot. Flynn and Marshall are fantastic characters never to be forgotten. Their lives change dramatically and for the better during the course of this wonderfully penned tale that doesn’t feel like a tale at all when the reader becomes completely immersed in the lives of the people involved in this story.

Marshall is the hero to die for, gorgeous and caring, yet withdrawn. You’ll root for his future happiness, and you’ll know Flynn is the best medicine for what ails him: a broken heart. Flynn is the kind of woman we’d all like to be: strong and willful, yet loving and womanly.

Don’t miss this story. You’ll want to buy every title under the name of Pinkie Paranya and gobble them up the moment you finish Tasmanian Rainbow. A pile of her books would be like, well, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, of course.

We are working on that as we speak. Several other publishers are considering using WRDf as official reviewers, but the process is slow. Also, the amount of publishers we can review for is limited to the number of reviewers we have currently,

If anyone is interested in becoming a reviewer, they just need to message me. I'd love to hear from you.

It's great that there are reviews on this site. However, shouldn't there be more of a variety of publishers? Majority are from the Wild Rose Press. I have nothing against them, they are my publisher, too. But, I think the reviews needs to be more broad.
