Book in print

My e-book: "50 Frogs, 5 Babes and a Bulldog" will soon be out in print. I am very excited. I've compiled a list of ways to promote the book outside of the usual internet sources that I've already used. Can anyone suggest ways to promote the book outside of the usual book signings, radio station and library and group presentations?Check out my webpage: 50frogs5babesandabulldog.comSee More

Introducing myself

I am a native of Southern California, soon to move to NW Arkansas. I am also a grandmother, and after retiring, my first book was published. It is a comedy about five middle-aged women looking for good men on the internet. A crazy English bulldog shakes things up.

I based the book on some of my own experiences before I met my husband and added my real life dog, Winchester.

Right now, I am in the process of moving. When I get to Arkansas, I will continue writing a second book: Hornblower at Work, which is a comedy/suspense tale. This book also features an English bulldog.

I hope to meet new friends here who are readers and writers.

Short excerpt from the chapter: An Evening with the Good Doctor

The waitress served our food. My choice was spaghetti and meat balls. I tried to smile at the good doctor, who was now avoiding all eye contact. To make matters worse, as I raised a forkful of spaghetti loaded with tomato sauce and a meat ball, the whole wad fell onto my white blouse.

"Some water might help," Elliot suggested.

"Where was my napkin? It was on the floor. I disappeared from view to retrieve it. As I raised my head, he was looking at me. Nervously, I dipped my… Continue

Many thanks for the link up, Susan. I’m looking at ways where we can help each other promote our material and ourselves. I suppose it begins with good communication. Did you have anything in mind in addition to this? I'm not that experienced in writing but I have a wealth of knowledge about people. This is the cover to my co-written book. You’d be welcome to post yours in my comments box or to the text facility on my page. All you have to do is ask :-)

Hi Susan,

Welcome. You asked about book promotion...that's quite a dragon to slay. Book reviews help, social networking, blog tours can give you a big push, and be sure to add a promo link to the signature of your email.
