Profile Information

Are you a writer, reader, or other industry professional
I am a writer of science fiction mysteries and techno-thrillers.
If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?
I currently have 2 books published with Twilight Times Books, a small book publisher, and contracts for 3 more.
As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?
As mentioned, I tend to write science fiction mysteries, and techno-thrillers. There is almost always a romance of some sort in the stories, however, to make the characters more realistic. So I do enjoy a good romance.
As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?
Oh! I don't know that I have a favorite genre to read, per se. It tends to be the plot that attracts me rather than the genre.
If you're an industry professional, tell us a little about your area of interest.
I'm a former rocket scientist, a veteran of over 20 years in the civilian and military space programs, with degrees in 4 sciences. I bring this experience, as well as my enthusiasm for travel and exploring, to my writing. I like creating stories about characters that could be real people, and throwing them into unexpected situations that keep the reader, as well as the character, on his/her toes.
How did you come to know about WRDF?
I was invited by a member.
What is your first impression of our site?
Haven't seen it yet; the invitation pretty much took me straight here! LOL
Do you have a website you'd like to post?

To Our Veterans

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If y… Continue

If you write Christian historicals set in 1800s, there's a Yahoo marketing group for you http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CROWNfictionmarketing/ Unfortunately, I don't write that period. The idea of such a group is a good one.
