A writer and a reader.
If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?
Multi-published Author
As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?
I'm an optimist. My favorite reads are scary, yet uplifting...and I relish a good romance. My own stories deal with the struggle of good vs.evil, horror and the healing power of love. Poems and short stories can be found under Sarah Wilson or Sarah Wilson Basore at www.darkmoonrising.com and www.theworldofmyth.com. "Cabin Painting" and "Gallery of the Midnight Heart" are published in print in The World of Myth Anthology. "Sins of the Fathers" is published in the Amazon bestseller Sinister Landscapes.

My novels Blood Atonement and Trust the Night can be found under Sara Saint John at www.mybookstoreandmore.com, or ordered through Amazon.com or at brick and mortar bookstores everywhere.
As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?
I love to read everything from Romance to Horror to Urban Fantasy. I write primarily Horror, but my two published books are Paranormal Romance with strong dark sides. I relish a good love story with a happy ending.
How did you come to know about WRDF?
Author and friend Carol Shenold asked me to join.

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB)
The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB).
Bingo Mania (Main Page)
Editor Chats (WRDF Calendar)
Trendsetter Blogs (Advertising page – sub-menu of Main/Map Tab)

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. If you get a free moment, please stop by my page at BOOK PLACE, and WRDF. I keep hot, buttery-sweet cinnamon rolls on the cyber-table at all times—go ahead, grab two.

Have a great day and a successful year,
Lynda

I sent in a proposal to Samhain at the end of October and I'm waiting patiently for a response. Hopefully it'll be great news!

Sounds like an interesting read Sarah. I must admit that my own 'chief suspect' for the real Ripper didn't quite fit the profile I wanted ti use for my fictional Ripper so I tailored the book and my fictional Ripper to meet the profileof one of the other chief suspects, who I doubt was really the Riper, but who I thought made my book a better read.

Best regards Sarah, and I hope you enjoy 'A Study in Red' if you get a copy..

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for accepting my friend invitation. I'm glad you like the look of 'A Study in Red'. It's selling really well and is currently holding #! position in the Jack the Ripper listings 'by average customer review' at Amazon.co.uk. and is in the Top 20 Best sellers in the category.

It's also doing well, (perhaps better) in the USA.

I must say it's a delight to meet another afficionado of the ripper murders. I've studied the case for the last 37 years, and have never failed to be intrigued by the happenings of the autumn of 1888 in Whitechapel.

Great to meet you.

Best regards and I must go take a look at your book now. Is it on Amazon?

Regards

Brian
