WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.
We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.
Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. John and I have been in the Keys for about five years. Before that, we lived in Palmetto Florida which is off of Tampa Bay. I wrote the book while we lived there. It took that long to find an agent and get it published. Right now I am working on one about the Keys.

We think we’ve accomplished a lot in our first six months and we’re just getting started.
We haven’t forgotten our readers. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and blog to increase your chances of splitting a boatload of books in December. Take the opportunity to talk with your favorite authors, ask questions. You can blog and leave personal reviews of books you’ve read either in your blogs or as comments on author’s pages. Get involved, it’s sure to enhance your time with us.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RELEASE! Will it be on Amazon.com?
Yes, Saving Tampa, is a romantic suspense novel. It is about a psychic and an FBI Agent that are forced to work together to prevent a terrorist attack. It's been really hard getting a buzz going in Tampa. None of the papers will do a review or write about it! On October 13, I am doing a radio interview. Maybe that will spark enough interest to get a blurb in the papers. If you have any suggestions, I am all ears.
Every paper in the Keys gave me a great write up,and I was on the radio twice, but that's probably because I am a local.

My name may mean nothing, but we share at least three common bonds: we’re authors, we both have websites, and we’re members of WRDF.
Part of our livelihood, as authors, is getting people to our websites to help get more sales.
I have, on my website ( http://www.ernierjohnson.net) an Author’s Website Link Exchange.
To make it simple, I’ll link to your website in exchange for you putting a link to mine. Not everyone goes to the extreme I do. I’ll not only put the link, but your book’s cover (up to 2 books) and your picture (if you so choose.) My theory is this, the book’s cover might attract a visitor to your site, but a picture might just seal the deal. They can then put a face behind the book.
