"The lovely, lovely descriptions never slow the action, but manage still to convey emotion and carry the narration forward. This is an incredibly original tale, and for all the science fiction trappings is truly a classic quest for love...” 'Snapdragon 'LONG AND SHORT REVIEWS~ "If you are looking for action, danger, romance, and love the science fiction then look no further than Hywela Lyn's futuristic romance, Starquest!";Denisse, THE PEN AND MUSE ~ "This is a wonderfully written book that will keep you on your toes and end with a big smile on your face. An adventure no other, this is a book that you don't want to miss big time." Amylove, WRITERS AND READERS OF DISTINCTIVE FICTION
Apologies for the delay, Rita. Yes, I have read Kate Tremayne--historical family sages. She's very good. :)
As for marketing historical romance here. I am not sure it would be much different to the US. A very well known London agent did mention in an address to the RNA (Romantic Novelists' Association) that they (agents/pubs) would kill for an intelligent historical novel. That was a couple of years ago though, so not sure if they are still in the killing frame of mind. The submission process here can be a little stressful though, agents often preferring snail mail. But you could look them up through the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook (or the equivalent website) and ask! Good luck!

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.
WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.
We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.
Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com
Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda
There's time constraints everywhere with a real publisher because there are only so many times each year when they actually go to print. They spend part of the time finding the books, then editing, then printing, marketing, etc. Then it all starts all over again.
PA was famous for doing just about nothing. But...I will always be grateful for the start they gave me. It was an an experience and you learn as much for the flops as you do from the full summersaults.

You can do this. You know your characters and your story better than anyone. Take your time, put your thinking cap on securely and enjoy the moment. It has to be exhilarating more than anything. Congratulations again. Let me know how it goes.
