Hi Paul,
Ha! I obviously don't get over here very often. I just now saw your message from Sept. LOL. What do I write? Well I write romance and paranormal. I've turned in two new books last month. Right now I am finishing up a book on bulldogs that I free lanced. I'll write just about anything if the money's right, and I'm inspired to tackle it.
I am a wife, mother of 4, and a mother-in-law, and soon to be a grandma. Woo Hoo. My Son Seth(27) and his wife Valerie are expecting. I am thrilled, so are they.
I hope all isgoing well with you.
Blessings,
Desiree

Thanks for stopping by, and for your encouraging comments. In answer to your question, I live in central CA. Finally, it's cooling down!

What sort of fiction do you write?

My medieval romance, that's coming out Oct. 24, isn't an inspirational romance--though it does have an inspirational undertone. In every book I write, I like to nudge the reader to look at God and His role/presence in our lives. I like to do this best by making my characters grapple with tough moral dilemmas, like I did in this book.

Hope your writing is going well--whatever it is you're working on! :)

Hi Paul,
I'm going to leave this message here because I'm not sure you're able to check the messages in your inbox at the top right of your page. Ning did some platform changes a week ago that messed up several things across our network. Some of these glitches they have not been able to fix. (and this is supposed to be an improvement. ha!) Also, when you make the changes to your profile, be sure to scroll down and check the save changes button. Sometimes members don't see this unless they scroll down so it's easy to miss. Ning also makes you sign in periodically for security reasons. If none of this helps your situation, just message me again and I will turn in a report for you to Ning about your page problems. Lynda

Hi, Paul!
Thanks for your interest in Straight Ahead Min. Actually, Straight Ahead's main mission is expanding the borders of the kingdom of God. So, recently they were able to purchase a building in Russia where they have their book store (the only Christian book store in a 600 mile radius), where they teach Bible studies, have Sunday worship services, and Alpha seminars. The location of this building has lead many international medical students to Christ since it is close to the medical school. Straight Ahead has a huge Koinonia fellowship because of that, as wellas Chinese and Malaysian. It's exciting to see the faith of these students grow and then ultimately when their college time in Russia is done, they go back to their home country and have the opportunity to spread the gospel there too.
Hope that answers some of your questions. :)

Paul - Thanks for the add! But I have to warn you that I deal in the world 300 years before Christ spread the gospel. Hence, my work deals with pagan themes (not necessarily my personal beliefs.)

Intended goals, direction & atmosphere for Christian Authors, Writers & Publishers group.

Dear friends,
Greetings! Welcome to Christian Authors, Writers & Publishers! I am trying to get Christian writers & authors together to encourage, help and simulate each other to use their God-given talents to write works in any/all genres, that is family friendly, wholesome, brings glory to God, and points the way to salvation, or helps Christians grow in their faith. Maybe we can inspire each other to write the next Pilgrim's Progress, the next Lord of the Rings, or the next Tales of N… Continue
