I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.
WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.
Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.
We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.
Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda
Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.
Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.

May yours treat you like a lady.

Always happy to befriend a fellow romance author. Isn't this a classy place to be? I am a contemporary author.
Best of luck to you in your writing. My critique partner, Viviane Brentanos writes for the Champagne Rose line at Wild Rose Press and is a member here as well. Her first novel is due out in May.
I am a Phaze and Tiger publications author myself and write contempories with a Brit twist. Pleased to meet you!
Cheers,

Oh, I all most forgot. I really, really, really, love those perfect endings...
In order to comply with ning's rules, no erotic material can be posted on this site. This would include covers containing nudity and excerpts with hot ratings. This site must be accessible to all ages. (Think fifteen years and up) If I cannot control this factor, I will be required to change the site's setting to private, which will defeat the promotional advantages.
At the present time I am not screening members, so I will be posting this announcement periodically as our numbers grow.It would be helpful if all members would help to keep this site compliant with ning's requirements. If you notice any infringements on this policy, please message me privately.
Members are at liberty to post (on their page) their website, myspace, facebook, etc. As professionals, we want to share our work with those who appreciate our particular area of writing, while at the same time, not alienating other readers in this Writing Community.
I thank you for your adherence to these standards.

In order for the slide show to load properly, we are going to have to limit the number of uploads each member can use. As our numbers grow, the volume of uploads to our slide show will continue to increase, therefore, all members need to limit their slideshow uploads to two items at this time. I know we all want to showcase our talent, art, and works of fiction, so please feel free to direct members, guests, friends, and readers to any of your other web sites where they may view an extensive array of your work. Think of Writers and Readers of distinctive Fiction as a mini web presence that can be an effective vehicle for meeting new people, all of which can then visit your bigger sites for a more complete coverage of your work.
As you may have noticed, we now have group access. Those of you who start groups will be fully responsible to see that your group complies with the standards set out in the IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS in the blog section.
This community is going to grow and become a web destination for many writers and readers alike. Many exciting features and opportunities will be implemented as time goes by. Since we're just getting started, change is inevitable. Please have patience, and help us make this a premiere site with worthwhile content.
We already have a diverse group, which I think is good. Just think how much we can learn from each other. Each genre has its own unique set of requirements and guidelines. Stretching our knowledge can only enhance our abilities. Like a well prepared buffet, we each can fill our plates with those dishes we like and pass over what we do not.
Thank you again for choosing Writers and Readers of Distinctive Fiction.
