Sally Vanessa Hearne said… - Isn't he beautiful. A Peruvian Paso gelding, my companion and friend for 15 years. He became very sick and on his recovery I gave him to my friend to be with his beloved horse buddies, when I moved to AZ. He had 2 more happy years with his herd and the California hills in Felton, then gave up his struggle with life this spring. He was a kind and generous spirit, who healed many people with his lessons in life. I am grateful to have had such a loving, beautiful partner. A partnership with horses is a huge responsibility which teaches us so much more than horsemanship - I am happy to make your acquaintance - you must be a special person! I, too, write supernatural mysteries. I hope to chat more!

Lynda Coker said… - Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.
WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.
We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.
Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. Check out WRDF’S official blog, Between the Lines, where you can schedule guest blogging days as well as schedule announcements of your new releases.
Don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter. You can submit material for our newsletter as well. Just send your query to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . Authors can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December. Take advantage of our Spotlight Theater promotional package, and our Front Page banner spots. We think we’ve accomplished a lot in our first six months and we’re just getting started.
We haven’t forgotten our readers. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and blog to increase your chances of splitting a boatload of books in December.
