Day the Towers Fell, September 11, 2001: A Poem

Here is the poem that I wrote on the one month anniversary of 9/11. I can't believe it's been seven years. Where has the time gone, it seems like only yesterday.

Day the Towers Fell

September 11, 2001

with a clear morning sky above them
no thoughts of evil there to dwell
a morning like so many others
until the towers fell

thousands and thousands of innocents
working jobs they new so well
no knowledge of pending terror
and then the towers fell

quickly rescue workers rushed there
into the bur… Continue

Two 5 Star Reviews from Ghostwriter

I may have posted this somewhere before but I don't think it was on this site. Anyway, recently GhostWriter Literary Reviews reviewed both my books and awarded them 5 Stars each. Here are the reviews they received:

Lethal Option

‘Lethal Option’ begins with the funeral of Winston Simon’s Grandmother, the last remaining relative after his parent’s untimely death three years earlier. He was in his last year of high school, and his intent was to go on to college. His goal was a career in law enf… Continue

Third Book Finished.

Finally finished my third book in the Winston Simon PI trilogy. I call this one Lethal Knowledge. Now comes the hard part, editing, rewriting, editing and rewriting...

Now if I could only find a good publisher. Anyone have any ideas?

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

The Tipping Point Workshops (TTP WORKSHOP TAB),
The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB)
The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB).

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter. You can submit material for our newsletter as well. Just send your query to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . Authors can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December. Take advantage of our Spotlight Theater promotional package, and our Front Page banner spots. We think we’ve accomplished a lot in our first six months and we’re just getting started.

We haven’t forgotten our readers. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and blog to increase your chances of splitting a boatload of books in December. Take the opportunity to talk with your favorite authors, ask questions. You can blog and leave personal reviews of books you’ve read either in your blogs or as comments on author’s pages. Get involved, it’s sure to enhance your time with us.

Wow! There is so much going on. But wait, I'm not done yet. We have a brand new feature which will become a huge theater for our authors and a lot of fun for our readers. The new book club, LOST...In a Good Book! Check the link on the main page.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch. For those wishing to take advantage of Paid Promo spots, keep a close eye on our Activity feature as that will be where special offers are posted.

Visit our groups section. If you don’t see one you like, start one of your own.

Why not help us grow? Invite some friends.

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.

PJ,

I'll definitely check it out. I joined Authors Den some time ago, just never did anything with it. My intentions were there, but life got in the way. Thanks, PJ.

PJ,

I wish I had the time to check out getting a page there. I have so many pages already and I can't keep up. Especially since John is on me for that third book.

Just shake my tree once in a while and remind me. See if I fall out and pay attention. LOL

Have a good one.

PJ,

Is that the one where I read all your short stories? They were AMAZING! But then again, I didn't expect anything less from a super author like yourself.

Talk to you soon, buddy.

Thanks, PJ. And thanks for inviting me. This looks like fun. I'm having trouble though. The only way to see my messages is to click the link from my email. When I respond to one, such as this one to you, I have to close it, go back to my email and click the link on the next one someone left me. Is there an easier way?

PJ,

Yes, I saw the cover; you are a genius in the making, my friend.
Thank you for the very kind words. It's been my honor to edit your work and I hope to always be the first to get a look at your magnificent stories. You are more than gifted.
If anyone hasn't read PJ's stories yet, do yourself a favor and buy his first two books, they are incredible. Action filled without filthy language or sexual content. He tells a story like no one I've ever read before.
Have a wonderful day.

Peace,

Terri Ann Armstrong, Author/Editor

Yours in friendship,
