The above is a good overview. I also try new-to-me authors on a regular basis. I read according to mood and enjoy connected books as long as they can also stand alone. I always want a HEA:) I enjoy equally strong heros and heroines...I burn books where an author has given me a heroine TSTL (too stupid to live) :)
My book preference is paperback. I rarely buy hard cover or anthologies. I'm a print junkie through and through although I do read a few ebooks from time to time.
Hi Nancy, I thought your name was familiar. We've traded comments before at RJR. You bring back some memories talking about Mickey Spilane. My dad was into Shell Scott and Louis L'Amour. And yes, I did sneak read a few of those. LOL Also those old detective magazines that had the continued stories from one month to the next. It's funny you should mention Gwen Bristow. Her novel, Celia Garth, got me started reading romance.

I looked at the photos and so enjoyed them! Who made those adorable cloth cats? Love them! Are you also a crafter, besides a reader? And I would love to be there to have tea with you and your friends. It looks so tempting.
Shelties are notoriously loyal and protective. My True Blue slept near my bed every night and if one of my sons came into the room before school to tell me goodbye, True growled at them. It used to make them so mad. They would say, "I live here, you dummy." I'd just laugh. At the end, it was horrible. I wouldn't put him down and my sons got after me. For three months, I carried him in and out of the house so he could do his business. And then one day, he just couldn't get up anymore. That was a very bad day in my life. That's the problem with having pets, it's so very hard to part with them.
I so enjoyed the photos. You seem like such a fun person to chum around with.
Best, Keta
ps" What's up with the outhouse picture and the Nutshell News?
Isn't it true that our pets live in our hearts forever? I had "True Blue" a sheltie for 12 years and had to put him down last year. He was so devoted, loyal and accepting. Somehow, he didn't care if I forgot my deodorant that morning. He used to sit behind my computer chair while I worked and I swear, there are moments I still FEEL him there. That's the hard part, losing them when they're such a big part of your life.
Thanks for checking out my books. They have done very well.
Adorable dog. I used to have two yorkies. Now have rescued cat from animal shelter. wonder if she would get along with Yorkie. I write erotica, sensual romance. No porn. No multi-partners. One man, one woman love stories with happily-ever-afters.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. If you get a free moment, please stop by my page at BOOK PLACE, and WRDF. I keep hot, buttery-sweet cinnamon rolls on the cyber-table at all times—go ahead, grab two.
It was so nice to meet you at the party and to get to know you. I'm glad you like Lori Foster. She seems like a really busy woman with young kids and a husband. I don't know how she does it.
I didn't read the book you didn't like by Lisa Scottolino. I've only read a couple of hers, and I liked both of them.
You have a darling little dog in your photo section. Really nice photos.
Thanks for joining the party last night. It's so neat to talk to people and find out a little bit about them.
