March Madness

Seems like as writers we go for long stretches of time with no good news, no breaks, and a whole lot of nose-to-the-grindstone work. It can be disheartening and depressing. Last year was especially difficult for me. I felt like I was scattered and moving at a snail's pace trying to accomplish my writing goals.Every once in awhile, though, the dam breaks. This year has started off on a much more positive note. In fact, it feels like the heavens opened and poured good news on me. :) Nominations…See More

First review of Witches Anonymous - 5 Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies

Amy Atwood is a witch gone bad, and when she means bad, it’s the devil gone bad. When she walks in on Luc and her sister going at it, she tells him she’s done and gone. So now she’s made an oath to never use magic again.
Adam is the real deal. He was given another chance at redemption and has chosen Amy to help him. Only he has no idea who and what she is. She is his last chance and his only hope.
Lucifer now going by Luc Smith, is mad as hell that Amy has walked away from him. He will do anything and say anything to get her back, and he doesn’t care who gets in his way.
Emilia is Amy’s sister and Luc’s new flame. Unfortunately for her it doesn’t seem to matter to Luc that she’s there. Now she will do anything to get rid of her sister so she can have Luc all to herself.
All Amy wants is a normal life without the devil in it. So when she meets Adam and he asks her out she’s all for it. But unfortunately for her Luc keeps getting in her way. Now she has her sister getting involved too but she starts to notice something off-kilter. So when she goes to a Halloween party with Adam and meets up with the angel of god, Gabriel, she knows her life is getting complicated. With Halloween coming up, Luc not leaving her alone, her sister after her, and Adam in her life, what’s a girl to do when it comes time to put her oath to the test?
WITCHES ANONYMOUS was a book I couldn’t put down. I was caught up page after page needing to know what happened next. You’ll want to grab two copies, one to give to your friend and one to read over and over again.
Amy is the type of girl most want to be. She is sure of herself and isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right no matter what happens. Adam is every girls dream guy made into flesh. And I really like how she made Lucifer seem more human than the demon from hell you read in most books. If I could describe WITCHES ANONYMOUS is would be one hundred percent perfect.

Trench Coat Seduction

Any spy worth her secret decoder ring must have a fabulous trench coat in her closet. I personally have several and love them all, but in writing my Super Agent Series, I had yet to put one of my lady spies in a trench.

Until now. Brigit Kent, the no nonsense psychologist who moonlights for Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service in my latest novel, Proof of Life (Super Agent Series, Book 3), is perfect in a trench. She isn’t a fashionista by any means,… Continue

My baby came early! OPERATION SHEBA now in print!

Posted on July 5, 2009 at 10:15pm 4 Comments

My baby came two weeks early. She measured eight and a half inches long and weighed fourteen and a half ounces. Completely caught off guard by her early arrival, I was nonetheless totally in love the moment I saw her face.

I'd just gotten home from an errand when the brown stork, commonly referred to as UPS, pulled up outside. My husband answered the door, took the delivery, and handed it off to me. “What'd'ya order?”

The package was book size but I hadn't ordered anything… Continue

I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time day to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

You can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December, and the opportunities don’t stop there.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.

Hey, Misty, I'm a bit behind here. My picture was not taken in my yard but rather in Chicago. My hubby and I were there for vacation/wedding (best friend) a couple of years ago.

Thanks for your kind words. I really enjoy teaching this course and hope to expand the program. It is wonderful for the kids. The growth they receive in such a short amount of time is just amazing.

It's wonderful to be networking with you.

Hi Misty!

My name is Amy and I'm new to WRDF. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm a little nervous and shy around all of the wonderfully talented authors that are here on this site. I'm just a reader and a reviewer. I have so many manuscripts started that I never finish. I guess my shyness gets to me with writing.

I love suspense and romance as well. They are two of my very favorites. I look forward to getting to know you better and if I can help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to ask.

My best.
Amy
