The times we should not..." Hell isn't merely paved with good intentions; it's walled and roofed with them. Yes, and furnished too." --Aldous HuxleyI can see why some people are so violently opposed to stem cell research; but not for the reasons they claim. Stem cell research will not kill any babies. Those who want to have an abortion will get an abortion. The stem cells of those children coud save the loves of countless other children and adults. Jonal and his Femsib, Aelion, The Last Princess of FireClanAn Interview with Jonal, Admiral and Prince of Lightby AC KattAC: Did you always have a fiery disposition?Jonal: Yes, I suppose I did, even as a boy.AC: You seem to be very possessive of Tonas and now, Anya, does that stem from childhood?Jonal: Yes and no, AC. It stems from two sources. The first was my uncertainty over the strength of our Pair Bond. After the initial BondStir, Tonas held out longer than what most Sarrans before his…See More

In Celebration of Earth Day - How the Sarrans Did Green

Location,Location, and Location...A civilization that survived on their home planet for untold numbers of cycles has three things that many other failed inhabited worlds lacked. The first is sheer luck. The Sarran home world is located well away from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy on one of the less populated spiral arms. The placement of Sarran's star system put the planet out of the main traffic lanes for planet eating asteroids, climate altering meteors and visits from further developed war…See More

Anatomy of a Novel - The Sarran Plague, A Moral Dilemma

Conflict -- A Moral DilemmaThe Sarran Planet The story for The Sarran Plague evolved from a proverb which I paraphrase here, The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Conflict is the key element of a good novel. The type of conflict I chose was a moral dilemma. All of the known humanoid races in the Milky Way Galaxy mate in pairs Sarran biology, although humanoid in origin,…See More

Hero in Waiting

In vaudvillethey called him the Second Banana, in Hollywood--the supporting actor, on Broadway--the understudy. Who is he? In romance he is the hero's best friend, or the guy he just met who helps him out of a tight spot, in reality -- this is the guy hanging out for a book of his own. When you write a novel it naturally flows that the hero(s) and the heroine are the stars of the show. Yet,…See More

Tigger Speaks!

One of the most interesting characters in The Sarran Plague is Tigger, Dr. Anya Forrester's orange and white striped tiger cat.People never notice the cat. The have conversations, they share secrets, they even speak treason in front of the cat. What would happen if the cat was sentient? No Earthen would believe he was and the Earthen would tell anyone who would listen that the cat was a pet, not a person. Yet, what if the cat were sentient and just chose not to speak. What if the cat were…See More

Many thanks for the link up, Mary. I’m looking at ways where we can help each other promote our material and ourselves. I suppose it begins with good communication. Did you have anything in mind in addition to this? I'm not that experienced in writing but I have a wealth of knowledge about people. This is the cover to my co-written book. You’d be welcome to post yours in my comments box or to the text facility on my page. All you have to do is ask :-)
