Re: Hurricanes

Good evening everyone.
Just wanted to check that everyone in the hurricane zone is safe and well now that it has passed. We heard quite a lot of it on the news out here in Australia. The devastation looked shocking, such a scary thing to live through. I just wanted to make sure everyone was o.k and to let those concerned know that I have been thinking of you.

Kind regards

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

The Tipping Point Workshops (TTP WORKSHOP TAB),
The Contest announcement page (CONTEST TAB)
The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB)
The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB).

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Hi all,
"Cardinal Sin" has just been released from The Wild Rose Press. If you were born and worked in the 1960's this story will be a trip down memory lane, particularly if you worked a secretary or a typist. Remember the old manual typewriters? Getting ink on your sleeve when you changed the ribbon? Sour faced old spinsters, ruling the typing pool with an iron fist? Mini-skirts. Oh, those were the day. (I had slim shapely legs then too)
Cheers

Good evening everyone.
My novel, Cardinal Sin, which is set against the background of the war in Vietnam has just been released from The Wild Rose Press. It is a trip down memory lane for those of us who were around in the 60's era.
