I think that a child losing a parent can be one of our most difficult griefs to deal with. Especially when you are young. Parent's seem so strong, so forever there, for lack of a better term that to lose them early is an affront to nature. But the...

I Love you Forever - Forever My Child

I was sitting at work one day, thinking about my dad who has been gone for more years than I care to count. All of a sudden my fingers started twitching and I wrote this poem. I like to think he was standing next to me when I wrote it. Perhaps a gift for the child within who still grieves.

I Love You Forever - Forever My Child

I am big and tall.
I am healthy and strong.
You are my world,
and I am yours.

My laughter rings in your ears
like singing angels.
As your face shines with a light

The Perils of a Ghostwriting Copy-editor

Ghostwriting and copy-editing can be lucrative career choices for lovers of the written word. It can also be challenging and heartbreaking if you don’t follow the rules set down by those who have paved the way.

Writing, editing, and formatting a book is labor intensive. It not only takes time, it takes mental energy. For a full-time ghostwriter a novel can take 6 months or more. For a part-time ghostwriter, a year or more is reasonable. Ghostwriting can bring between $25,000.00 and $45,000.00 o… Continue

Welcome Louann,

You'll certainly find a variety of genres and their authors here at WRDF, along with lots of people who don't care to write, but love to read.

So, make yourself at home. And when you get a free moment, hopefully before you upload too much content, please read the information entitled, NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ, for important content guidelines. You'll find it listed under the Member's Tab. Just a little necessary business to get out of the way, then I encourage you to explore and enjoy the site.

Also, check out our official blog and review site, Between the Lines, and our book discussion blog, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, which will begin a new round of book discussion October 20th. The featured book information is now posted. So make your book selection and join us for the October discussions. These two sites can be accessed through their quick-link banner on our Main Page.

For all you blog lovers, we've got some new book blogging groups. Book blogs are wonderfully entertaining and informative. Stop over and start getting acquainted with our Book Blogging members.

Just for fun, we have two more new groups: YOU CAN'T COOK and SO YOU THINK YOU HAVE TALENT. Share a recipe or post a photo of your favorite hobbies, etc.

All members are welcome to post their coming events on the WRDF Calendar. Just click on the Calendar Tab.

Advertising with WRDF is easy. You'll find all the detail on the Advertising page which is a sub-menu of the Main/Map Tab.

Thank you for joining us here at WRDF. It's a pleasure to meet you and we all hope that you enjoy the site.

Thanks,
Lynda
