Two very important events for writers of ebooks, web fiction, podcasts, other eMedia
First, a unique and extremely cool event, Free E-day.
This is such an effective and gracious promotional event, and perfectly in tune with the whole dynamic of "eWriting".
The idea is, on Dec 1, 2009 writers and artists who work online or in electronic media such as eBooks, digital art or mp3 music will just give something away for free to all comers.
The concept was posted on the New Writing Media network so I'll just link to that blog, which has information and all the links.… Continue

It's a kind of romance, unrequited love achieved... but then what?
It's kind of humorous (and not the nasty humor you probably expect :-)
It's kind of a travelogue... Mazatlan carnival and Mexican journalism.
Kind of a baseball book... we don't actually see a game played, but sports has molded these characters for life and the topic is always right there.
It's even got a thematic image, hey. There's a point when the velocity of the ball is cancelled out by the stroke of the bat. A point when there is not motion at all... then things go back the other way. Mundo Carrasco's life was defined by that timeless moment of a famous hit. Now he's acheived everything he didn't dare dream of... and the second it's his, it starts to move away.
It's a book chicks like as much as guys... Mundo is quite a guy.
What can I say? Buy a dozen.

I have a mug from the old Flamingo Hotel, but I love the idea of a stuffed flamingo.

I live in Minnesota and we've had a hard winter with lots of snow. I'm a hot weather lover and this year we are not going to Hawaii for a winter vacation.
I collect flamingos and my amateur sleuth in my cozy mystery collects flamingos. My first stuffed flamingo I bought at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas plays a role in my first Cozy which is not punlished yet.
