Can't wait to read Decadent Deceptions. I'm in Middle Georgia and we had a couple of inches of snow - first snow in a few years! Fun, but cold.
Have a good week.

I do love crafts but that hobby has almost entirely been replaced by reading;) For years I was very involved with miniatures (1 inch=1 foot) as in doll's houses and accessories. I made plants, baskets, food, kit bashed (altered/customized), made room boxes for family and was commissioned to do a few for friends. It's an extremely labor intensive hobby and runs the gamet of working with many craft mediums like paper, cloth, wood, plastic, metal, electronics, paints, clay etc. and all while staying in scale. There's no object in real life that can't be made or obtained in miniature. The hobby dates back to the sixteenth century and as time has passed the quality of material, reproduction and workmanship has improved to a phenomenal degree. Indeed, some gifted miniaturist are considered artist and can probably almost make their living from their speciality but most can not and have varying degrees of skill. (While not a miniature but fully grown does it not make sense that my dog of heart was a little five pound ball of fur?:)
Some of the plants on the cover of the Nutshell News are mine (August 1986). I don't remember how or why but they were borrowed to incorporate in the scene. I served as a Regional Coordinator (volunteer position) over a several state area as part of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiast or better known as N.A.M.E. for a couple of years. It was a membership organization...anybody who loved miniatures and paid the nominal dues could join. In many ways it compares to the set-up of the various member romance writers associations that exist in each state and then has a headquarters to maintain the mission of the organization.
My "friends" you see me with at "high tea" are my two younger sisters at a wonderful establishment in Ocean City, MD, called "Tea By The Sea" and was one of our outings during Sisters Week (where we get together specifically to enjoy each others company once or twice a year). My sister made reservations and we were served about seven small courses along with a number of tea selections. Everything was sinfully delicious and filling. The hats are chosen by patrons from a trunk for the occasion and to add to the ambiance:) It was a first for me and thoroughly delightful.
The "outhouse" is a tongue-in-cheek and just for fun graphic I used when I first joined WRDF. Since the outhouse has the light on I left it to one's imagination that it was also a place to enjoy reading. Lynda Coker picked up on the joke immediately *grin*. I also like the graphic partly because it's a bit of nostalgia for me...when we used to visit my grandmother as kids, I was fascinated by her outhouse. I had never known such a wonder. Then, too, years ago I was commissioned to make a miniature outhouse for a friend of mine that she wanted to give as a gift to a relative. I loved the challenge of the project and will have to dig up the photo to post.
You also seem like a fun person to chum with...you're devotion to True sealed the deal;) Hugs....Nancy:)
P.S. Now I really must get to reading your excerpts....
Sunny also had to be sent to the Bridge at the age of 12, less than a year later than my yorkie, Misha. Diana and I were both there for Sunny. She and Misha are buried in plots on Diana's land and while she loves her current fur kids unconditionally Sunny was the dog of her heart like your True Blue. We like to believe that they are at the Rainbow Bridge together...happy, healthy and waiting for us. I've added a picture of Sunny and myself to my photos. Best....Nancy
I know a number of yorkie owners who also have cats...I think it probably depends on ages and perhaps how the introductions are handled;) Misha got along with the cat who lived downstairs...mostly by pretending he didn't exist. So I can say she loved all people; tolerated cats, and hated other dogs. Hey, nobody can be perfect. Oh yeah, Misha also got along with my sister's two shelter cats when we'd go for a visit ~ again by mostly ignoring them.
I'm assuming you saw the partial list of authors that I read or maybe noticed my name as a reader-member at RJR. I noticed yours there:) I love erotica and or sensual romance across many genres. Porn is just boring. I want a good story, character depth ~ I want to be drawn in and be there in the story. I prefer hot reads or at least sensual but I also read a few thriller/suspense authors (Vince Flynn, Cross Series of James Patterson, David Baldacci) outside of the romance genre. I read menage once in awhile but multi-partners really don't work for me. In the end I still want the one man, one woman HEA. Sometimes a little well done kink spices things up in a good way. I like strong heroines and heros as partners. I hate heroines that too stupid to live.
You're a new to me author but I look forward to checking out your web site and reading your excerpts at the first opportunity. Thanks for the friend invite.
P.S. I'm also into "24":)
