Been MIA ~ Again

Hello and good morning everyone ~
It has been seemingly too long since I've been active here on WRDF and I can only apologize for my lackness. I have been kept busy and feel like I am jumping around to various involvements and wonder if I am really getting anywhere (lol). I still attend our local Senior Citizens Centre daily, with fitness exercises 3 days a week for an hour each, learning the craft art of Bunka, a Japanese art "painting with thread". (I do have some pictures of my first picture… Continue

Blessings

I check in with WRDF daily, usually in the mornings, to see what is happening in your worlds. I keep up with Chiron's Blogposts all the time and am finding so much encouragement and inspirations through her helpful tips and musings with the art of writing. It has reminded me of where I am and what my goals have always been. I am working slowly once again toward them, day by day. That can be a bit of a trick, trying to hang on to those moments of inpiration, especially now. It seems this is turni… Continue

More "Just Me"

I talked a bit about my writing interests, so I'll give a bit more personal picture of me ... I grew up in a large family of mostly all girls. Not exactly "Little Women" but ..... There were 5 sisters .. my 3 older sisters plus me and my twin sister. Then mom had divorced dad, he moved away and we hardly ever seen him. Mom remarried and had 3 more girls before she finally had a boy born on Thanksgiving Day (here in Canada October 13th). Of these younger 3 girls, her second daughter Debbie died a… Continue

New Intro

Hello everyone,
I'd like to thank you all for the warm welcome and to the new friends I am already finding here. I hope to get better acquainted with you all as I walk along this wonderful site's path. I also thank friend BobbyRobert for inviting me to join Writers and Readers, for without our chance meeting online, I may never have found you here. So I am realizing a lot of wonderful inspirations through all of this.
About Me ~ I may appear to be quite shy and quiet but I do try to be open and… Continue

Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: btlblog@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Please feel free to post your blogs and leave comments for other bloggers as well. Check out WRDF’S official blog, Between the Lines, where you can schedule guest blogging days as well as schedule announcements of your new releases. Don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter coming out next month. You can submit material for our newsletter too. Just send your query to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . Authors can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December. Take advantage of our Spotlight Theater promotional package that debuts September 1, and our Front Page banner spots. We think we’ve accomplished a lot in our first six months and we’re just getting started.

We haven’t forgotten our readers. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter and subscribe to our blog at Between the Lines to increase your chances of splitting a boatload of books in December. Take the opportunity to talk with your favorite authors, ask questions. You can blog and leave personal reviews of books you’ve read either in your blogs or as comments on author’s pages. Get involved, it’s sure to enhance your time with us.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.

Good morning everyone. I am back from a week's holiday and am just trying to catch up on a lot of things. Am I ready now to get back into writing? Yes, I think so ... I managed to find some inspirations while away so need to capture them before they are gone again (lol) Enjoy your day. Will be in touch again soon. ~ Joanne ~

Hello, Joanne, and a belated welcome!

You have a great site here. If you enjoy suspense and mystery, you might be interested in my book, "See No Evil, My Pretty Lady", available from The Wild Rose Press. This is a romantic murder mystery with a new twist on the Jack the Ripper tale.

Again, welcome, and enjoy the site!
