I'm back among the living and writing.

I feel like I have been drowning the last year. Three members of my family lost their jobs, and one was unemployed for over a year. It was time to help out, and I've been working every chance I got. Now they are all employed, and I can come up for air. I'd like to get my third book done by the end of this year, so I'll have to buckle down and get writing. It is set in the Florida Keys and you'll love all the wacky characters. I also have two articles that I need to place with magazines. One is…See More

Saving Tampa
For as long as she could remember, Rachel Cunningham feared and hated her psychic ability. When a strange man accidentally touches her, she sees the death of thousands. Rachel knows the FBI won’t believe her, but she has to try. Lives are at stake.
Special Agent “Hawk” Arrons dismisses her information as a publicity stunt, yet his conscience nags him. When Rachel identifies an Al Qaida cell leader, Arrons puts his career at risk and issues an alert.
Will the terrorists’ threat succeed, or will Rachel and Hawk be in time to Save Tampa?

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB)
The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB).
Bingo Mania (Main Page)
Editor Chats (WRDF Calendar)
Trendsetter Blogs (Advertising page – sub-menu of Main/Map Tab)

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Thanks for the invitation to your book signing, Jo! It's a little far for me, since I live in Cleveland. Otherwise, I'd be there to shake your hand and obtain a signed copy of your novel.

Best of luck to you!

Good morning; and welcome to WRDF. If you're interested, I have, on my website, the AUTHOR WEBSITE LINK EXCHANGE where, to make it simple, I put a link to your website on mine and you put a link to mine on yours.

The theory behind this is simple: Not everyone who goes to my site will want my book, and the same scenario goes to all author's websites, but they do generally browse. They do sometimes see links to other authors and out of reader's curiosity, they click the link.

On my website I post the author's link, their picture (if available) and up to two book covers. Not every author is that elaborate. Some post the book cover and a short blurb. Others just a link.

Come and join us in our quest to see more sales. You can check out my website at http://www.ernierjohnson.net

Memories and Christmas Wishes

Posted on December 17, 2008 at 2:44pm 4 Comments

We are leaving paradise in the Keys and heading north for the holidays. Christmas is a time to be surrounded by family. John is grumbling about freezing temperatures and blizzards, but he's as sentimental as I am. In the small farming town where I was raised, Christmas was a wonderful and magical time. I played Mary in the church pageant and got so excited I burst out in hives. My whole body itched, and my face was a red mess of bumps, but the honor… Continue
