I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time day to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

just wanted to stop in and say hello. I hope you’re enjoying your experience her at WRDF. We encourage all our members to take full advantage of all aspects of the community. Please feel free to post your blogs and leave comments for other bloggers as well. Check out WRDF’S official blog, Between the Lines, and subscribe to our newsletter coming out next month. You can also submit material for our newsletter. Just send your inquiry to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . You can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December, and the opportunities don’t stop there.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.

Hi Jane,

My table and I go way back. *grin* I inherited it when my dad passed away in '98. It's the same table I sat down to for every meal when I was growing up.

So, last year I pulled some things together that mean alot to me--you know family stuff. I have the books I mentioned and several things belonging to my parents (who are in heaven), a fountain my son Bryan gave me, my computer (this may sound mundane and thoroughly expected, but...) Jeremy, my second son is my computer tech. He has completely revamped this little machine. I used to have a post-it with, "Jeremy was here." It got all funky and messed up so I took it off.

Heck, I even have a jar of red earth from Alabama. ;o) Like the line in Gone With the Wind--"This all of Tara you'll ever get!" Although I was born in Akron, Ohio, my family roots go deeply into the south.

Being surrounded by the little essences of family gives great inspiration.

Have a wonderful rest of the day.
