Hey Laura, Hope you are doing well my friend! Jaime

That is such a good point, Jaime. It's a good thing people have their own styles in writing, so readers have plenty of choices. You have quite a way with words. Your blogs make me smile.

Hey Sandra, This is very insightful. As someone new to the "game" I've recently discovered it's not entirely as I perceived it to be! Jaime

Profile Information

Are you a writer, reader, or other industry professional
Writer.
If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?
My first book, Crimson Moon, has been accepted for publication with TWRP, while my second, Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between, a dark urban fantasy, has been accepted for publication by Eternal Press.

I also have two erotic storts, A Kiss before Dying and Moon Kissed, contracted with Amira Press. As well as two novellas, Soft as Moonlight and Lick of Frost.

Check out the September issue of Niteblade magazine where you can read my short horror story, Penance.
As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?
When it comes to reading or writing, I'm a paranormal junkie with a preference for urban fantasy (with or without romance). I also adore anything dark and gritty - if it makes me slightly ill, you'll have a fan for life.
As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?
This is tough because my favorite genre doesn't match up with my favorite writer. Genre wise, it's anything with a horror/supernatural/paranormal kind of feel. But my favorite writer is John Steinbeck.
How did you come to know about WRDF?
A friend pointed me in your direction.
What is your first impression of our site?
Great place to network and meet new people!
Do you have a website you'd like to post?

It's funny that came across and interesting blog entry today, discussing good old fashioned romance in the market today.

For the last few weeks, I've been speaking to friends and family about the shift in romance on the market. Admittedly, I fell out of the entire romance genre for several years, tuning into other (darker) material. But I eventually came back to it and discovered thi… Continue
