Profile Information

Are you a writer, reader, or other industry professional
writer, reader
If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?
Published Author
As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?
Have written two novels in the Obsessive-Compulsive series. The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist and Obsessive, Compulsive and Published. The former has been published as an ebook through Stonehedge, the latter, awaits publication through Class Act Books in both print and ebook. Date of release expected for December 2009.

My young adult novel, is an ethnic novel dealing with the coming-of-age of a high schooler, as she learns about life, love, and herself. The plans with an agent have not gone through, but as all things, I will keep pressing forward.

I read a number of books varying in genre: theology, education, and foreign language novels, (Spanish and French especially), but am your typical romantic at heart. Love Jane Eyre, and all Jane Austen's works.
As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?
British Literature, hands down.
How did you come to know about WRDF?
It was recommended to me by the lovely, Miss Mae.

Coming soon: Obsessive Compulsive and Published! December 2009

Obsessive Compulsive and Published!
Erika Seals is back, and as in The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist, nothing comes easy for this heroine. The sequel presents a more (hopefully) mature Erika, who finally gets her novel published! Everyone seems pleased, except her father, who is embarrassed of his daughter’s talent. But Erika has more than her father’s approval and story publication to worry about. She has also gone back to school and is enrolled in the same class with her arch enemy, Maricela. Elliot’s parents, also Erika’s landlords, come up from sunny Florida to visit, each outing the young people take them on proving more disastrous than the last. Then there is Elliot himself, forced to make a decision that could end the lovers’ relationship. The circumstances read from a page of Erika’s romance novel, but she remains powerless to script the ending.

Obsessive, Compulsive and Published is a humorous piece of romantic fiction, weaving in the elements of self-esteem, familial relationships and the importance of fine culinary skills.

Disclaimer: The sequel may create an urge to clean and obsess, while giving a bad case of the chuckles.

And don't forget to catch the first and original: The Obsessive, Compulsive Romance Novelist. Available wherever ebooks are sold.

My Cover is Ready

Okay, so I'm an easily excitable girl. It's not everyday, at least not for me, that my work gets "out there". The cover is the heart and soul of the novel. It catches the readers eye. And while some novels are lucky enough to evolve over time (think any Judy Blume cover), the first one is very sentimental to us - to me.

I love this cover. I didn't expect it at all.

Hi Evie,

Thanks for your kind words. I think my writing and my dogs are my way of coping with the various disabilities that have blighted my life. I just try to do what I can, while I can and hope people enjoy what I write, young and old.

Best wishes

Brian

Yes Evie that is me. I am with the Volunteer group that I represent and have called Nurses with a Mission. We are a volunteer group that make dolls for the Medical Mission trips with Nurses that go overseas to help children and families who are in need of medical care. This country has so many things for us who live here in the USA/Canada and in the North American Region that those folks who do not live in our region can not afford medical care especially the little kids. Nurses went to Bali along with others who wanted to help out or see the country. I was not fortuante to go, I had too many bills to pay off and my house is being renovated. I am hoping to go with them when and if they should decide to go to India I love to see this. Wouldn't it be fun if we all can plan a trip not too expensive to see and view a romancing castle some place overseas? Maybe Scotland or Ireland?

Hey Evie are you married or dating? I am married with 3 cats. Live in Florida, how about you? thanks for sending me here to this site I love it. Now I have to get a website, I think I am going to Vista Print they have one for 240.00 a year not to bad for 20.00 a month total 240.00

Thanks Evie,

Actually I changed my profile today to make it a bit shorter! Thanks for your kind words. Graeme isn't on this site but he is on a few others on the Ning network. Yes, we're working well together and our friendship has grown and that makes the working relationship really good too. Please take a look at Mythica Publishing sometime and you never know, you might like to give ti a try.

It's great to hear from you and I hope all's well in your life too.

Best regards

Brian
