OK, now, for your delictation, a little about moi, my released book, The Madness of Celia Summers, and my forthcoming book (also from The Wild Rose Press): Naked Fully Clothed.
Moi: Hello - I'm Charlotte, I’ve been writing for a rather long time (ahem) and I live in the small town of Droitwich in the UK, where I strive to stop my witty son typing – THE END – halfway through my manuscripts and to keep up with the demands of my three rescue dogs, as mentioned above. If you're an animal lover, please check them out on my website. I am very proud of my three-legged one, Sade, who has one leg at the front, wheels to support her back legs, and still enjoys life. You have to love her.
I write Romantic Comedy because sometimes I think there is just too much sadness in life. So, whilst I do try to portray my characters as real human beings in the all their rich eccentricity and emotional fragility, I like to think I leave the reader with a huge dollop of feel-good factor and, more importantly, a smile. A laugh or two—even better!
The Madness of Celia Summers: is a romantic comedy revolving around the titular Celia and her job as an art therapist at an old people’s home (or an elderly independents home, as Celia prefers to refer to her old folk). The book features a cast of eccentric and colourful characters from the home and explores Celia’s romance with a police constable, the shy and delectable Alex, who is a single father and comes with excess baggage, as they do. Of course, she has to boot her current beau’s bottom in the stratosphere first, who turns out to be not quite the gentleman he seems.
Naked Fully Clothed: I've popped my UNEDITED blurb in here. That's how new it is (and how nervous I am!).
Single mother, Leanne Curtis, has reached crisis point. Then she gets arrested—for soliciting, which does even less for her self-esteem than finding naked footprints on the windscreen of her boyfriend’s car. On the inside.
Lee vows never to fall in love again, ever, particularly with her good-looking arresting officer, PC Paul Davis, in his bite-the-buttons-off blue uniform. Her offering him lodgings is strictly a business arrangement. She has better things to do with her life than fall in love. Attend to the all-important task of blackmailing her ex-boyfriend into repaying monies he owes her, for a start. With a little help from her friends: Jade, who has absolutely no time for love, which only exists in Mills & Boon books anyway, which is shame because there is someone who’s very much in love with her—and willing to woo Mills & Boon style if only she’d stop pushing him away. And Nicky, who’s exhausted with two truculent teenagers and a toddler to care for, and who is pushing her husband away to be there for Lee. She’ll make it up to him, she decides. Wear something racy and lacy and…draw pupils on her eyelids, which is the only she’ll be wearing come-to-bed eyes.
THANK YOU, for reading, for being there for me.

I'm in the throes of helping to breathe a bit of extra life into WRDF. Can we be friends? If so, please add me.

Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: btlblog@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Please feel free to post your blogs and leave comments for other bloggers as well. Check out WRDF’S official blog, Between the Lines, and subscribe to our newsletter coming out next month. You can also submit material for our newsletter. Just send your inquiry to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . You can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December, and the opportunities don’t stop there.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.

Thanks Charlotte,

Yes, that's our little rescue, Bouncer. And yes, he's very much at home. It didn't take him long to settle in and teach the humans to keep him in the manner he wishes to become accustomed to! You'd never think he'd been so badly treated, he is so affectionate and loving. Yes, that's my sweet Sally, taken a few months before she went over the rainbow bridge. She was starting to show her age, but still feisty, bless her!

Thanks for coming by - glad the booksigning went well.

Gosh, Lynda. I thought I answered this. Duh! Thank you so much for asking. The manager emailed me saying, well done, so I guess it went OK :) She says, hopefully!

How did your book signing go on Saturday? I know everyone who came and purchased your book will enjoy every moment of being embroiled in the "madness!" ;-)

It's the readers who make you a writer. Sometimes, this all seems a bit tiring. But then, you realise people are reading - your writing. I'm in the UK, so here it's the RNA. The great thing about support groups, on or off line, is that they will always share, because they know how hard you've worked. Without talent and the will to write, you simply couldn't. Go, Lynda. And hold that head high.
