Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.
WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.
We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.
I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.
The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB) The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB). Bingo Mania (Main Page) Editor Chats (WRDF Calendar) Trendsetter Blogs (Advertising page – sub-menu of Main/Map Tab)
Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.
We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.
Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: email@example.com
Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Welcome to Writers and Readers. It's great to have you here. I'm sure you'll soon find your way around and make friends - if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, we're a friendly bunch. I'm a member of your Yahoo group although I have to confess I lurk more than post these days.
My name may mean nothing, but we share at least three common bonds: we’re authors, we both have websites, and we’re members of WRDF.
Part of our livelihood, as authors, is getting people to our websites to help get more sales.
I have, on my website ( http://www.ernierjohnson.net) an Author’s Website Link Exchange.
To make it simple, I’ll link to your website in exchange for you putting a link to mine. Not everyone goes to the extreme I do. I’ll not only put the link, but your book’s cover (up to 2 books) and your picture (if you so choose.) My theory is this, the book’s cover might attract a visitor to your site, but a picture might just seal the deal. They can then put a face behind the book.
If you’re interested, reply to this comment and we’ll get the ball rolling, or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your picture and book's(s) covers you wish to show.
Just wanted to stop in and say hi and also let you know that my "Back to School" sales promotions for authors and publishers are ending soon.
If interested in cover design or book illustration at less than publisher's normally discounted pricing and want to reserve your spot in the short amount of time left in 2008 (and my calendar is filling fast) visit my site or call me:
Make yourself at home. And when you get a free moment please read the forum discussion entitled, NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ, for important content guidelines. The forum tab is located at the top of your page. Just a little necessary business to get out of the way, then I encourage you to explore and enjoy the site.
