PROMO BLASTS - All the info published authors need is here:

Please query me at carlaarpinpublicist@yahoo.com about a new promotional opportunity I call PROMO BLASTS.

**DISCLAIMER -- All genres and authors are welcome, as this is separate from my regular CSA AUTHOR PUBLICITY, and I won't be reading the books included in PROMO BLASTS. This is strictly a paid advertisement opportunity.

** **What are Promo Blasts?
Your book release information sent to promotional/publicity-friendly Yahoo groups and sites the first two weeks before publication date, and first two weeks after book's release. These are the most critical times to get yourself *out there* book's sales-wise.

Thirty-five day notice needed to send information to three local newspapers of your choice [you send me the newspaper URL'S and I will contact the calendar coordinator.] Same time frame needed to contact brick and mortar stores such as Barnes and Noble and Borders to be included in their new book release flyers, if your book will be available to them.

**What I need to start - Book Title, Author name and URL to web site, GENRE - specify if non-romance, erotic romance, women's fiction, etc., Publisher Name and URL, ISBN, RELEASE DATE, and what format book is available in, i.e., E-book, Mass Market, Trade Paperback, and/or Hardcover, Book Blurb. Please send book cover as a .jpg attachment to carlaarpinpublicist@yahoo.com along with above info.

Inclusion on my MySpace bulletins and blog and my TOOT-BOOKS reader and author Yahoo group.
www.myspace.com/carlapublicity and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TOOT-BOOKS/

**Cost is $120.00 per book via PayPal button below. $60.00 is due in advance for set-up/holding your date slot, $60.00 due one week before Promo Blast is sent out.

Published authors only, obviously, please!

Thank you!

Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: btlblog@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

Dear Readers and Writers,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I hope you’re enjoying your experience here at WRDF. We encourage you to take full advantage of all aspects of the community. Please feel free to post your blogs and leave comments for other bloggers as well. Check out WRDF’S official blog, Between the Lines, where you can schedule guest blogging days as well as schedule announcements of your new releases. Don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter coming out next month. You can submit material for our newsletter too. Just send your query to cover2cover@lyndacoker.com . Authors can donate a book for our Boatload Book Giveaway for December. Take advantage of our Spotlight Theater promotional package that debuts September 1, and our Front Page banner spots. We think we’ve accomplished a lot in our first six months and we’re just getting started.

We haven’t forgotten our readers. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter and subscribe to our blog at Between the Lines to increase your chances of splitting a boatload of books in December. Take the opportunity to talk with your favorite authors, ask questions. You can blog and leave personal reviews of books you’ve read either in your blogs or as comments on author’s pages. Get involved, it’s sure to enhance your time with us.

Check the main page often to keep up with the changes happening within our community. Be sure to invite your friends. We are growing each day, and we want to stay in touch.

Thank you so much for spending some of your valuable time with us here at WRDF. We appreciate your membership and participation.
