I'm an author, reviewer and editor with a career background in journalism (moving up from columnist to feature writer to editor to publisher through the years). I also hosted a regional TV talk show.

If a writer, are you published, pre-pubbed, or self-published?

I have four books published; 3 fiction, one nonfiction

My latest book DREAM REACHERS (released May 29, 2009) is my first nonfiction and my first with a co-author. It is a magical mix of success stories and interviews with people who have dared to stretch to reach for their dreams. In this book, I share my experiences as a starry-eyed young journalist when screen idols, like Clint Eastwood and Jane Russell, walked right off the big screen and into my life...for brief, memorable moments.

My co-author Chase Von, a celebrity interviewer and poet, shares his current interviews with new actors, authors, poets, musicians and artists from all fields.

My other published works are 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD, an epic romantic thriller/family drama about my beautiful older sister and her seven marriages; THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY, a young adult fantasy adventure (geared for adults); and MILLENNIUM BABE: THE PROPHECY, a fantasy adventure about the first baby born in the new millennium (touch of supernatural).

As a writer, what type of stories do you Write or Read?

I write in mixed genres: YA, mystery, drama, fantasy adventure, crime, thriller, horror, humor and light romance.

I love to read the same material I write, mostly fiction with occasional memoirs.

As a reader, what is your favorite genre, writer?

I have enjoyed all the genres in which I write and much prefer fiction to nonfiction. Although I had the most fun writing my Young Adult TOONIES, I really like writing creepy, scary stuff too.

I have always enjoyed Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul, James Patterson...with spurts of Danielle Steel and Nora Roberts. Pat Conroy is my all-time favorite author. Joseph Finder is my fave new author.

If you're an industry professional, tell us a little about your area of interest.

To me, writing is like sliding down a rainbow; marketing is like trudging through a field of 'chewed' bubblegum on a hot, sticky day.

THAT said, my area of interest is publicizing my books, meeting and sharing with other writers. And since I'm a top Amazon reviewer, I love reviewing.

How did you come to know about WRDF?

Several author friends told me about it and invited me to join.

What is your first impression of our site?

It looks very helpful, quite aesthetic and appears professional. It also seems easy to maneuver,which is very important. I haven't checked out all the links yet, but I'll do that soon.
