I think that a child losing a parent can be one of our most difficult griefs to deal with. Especially when you are young. Parent's seem so strong, so forever there, for lack of a better term that to lose them early is an affront to nature. But the...

Beautiful poem. I'm sure your dad is somewhere treasuring every word, sharing the pain of missing YOU and wishing he could zap your pain away. (((Hugs Bethany Ann)))

Your Poem is beautiful! I know it's hard loosing someone you love, but one thing that gives me just a little peace of mind, is knowing that they are in no pain, and a lot happier then we are! I guess we have to try to be happy for them in that way...

YOU LET ME LIVE-
You have brought me so far, in such a short time.
You have opened my heart. God, you have eased my mind.
You have given me hope, brought me up high.
Gave me the strength, when I couldn't get by.
You have been my shelter, from all the rain.
You gave me love, taking away the pain.
You opened your arms, when I would have cried.
You gave me your life, when I could have died.
You have overwhelmed me, with a sense of release.
You took away all fear, leaving me with peace.
You opened my eyes, when I couldn't see.
You unveiled my skin, to find the best of me.
You gave me words, when I couldn't speak.
You held me close, when I was weak.
You offered yourself, when I couldn't give.
When I was dying, God you let me live.

A Poem For My Dad, After He Left...

In 2007 I was with my dad the last few hours he was alive, I held his hand and I watched him take his last breathe, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, and I miss him greatly, but I do believe he is in better hands, and he doesn't have to suffer anymore, and for that, to God I am thankful! ... Though this poem shows, the hurt and pain, I hope you enjoy it!

SCREAM

Sometimes I want to scream,
So loud the world could hear.
To say " missing you isn't easy,
That it's hard witho… Continue

Just A Poem I would Like to Share--

This poem was written for my Mom, Margie. She is the most important person In my life, and I wrote this for her after my dad passed away, and she was having a hard time getting through each day. I thought she would leave with my dad, so this is what I wrote for her.

THE LIGHT WITHIN MY HEART

If you ever leave me,
My heart will break in two.
For there's no one else on earth,
I love as much as you!

If you ever go,
My tears will fall like rain.
My life will be so empty,
For, to great, will be my… Continue
