Besa on "World Audience Literary Journal"

Dear Friend,

During the month of June, Mr. M. Stefan Strozier, Editor, gave me the honor of featuring two of my poems, (Child of Haiti and Africa) in the World Audience Literary Journal. (Vol. 3, #1, June 2008 - ISSN:: 1936-1785)
This is my first literary credit and I am grateful to have been given such opportunity. He is the first editor to open a door to the literary universe.

Thank you Mr. Strozier!

Please take a moment and browse through the World Audience Website. Some of you, the ones I… Continue

The Story of Number

I have sharpened my pencils. Thirty-four to be exact. Thirty-three are still in the cup because I am holding one of them. I am sitting on my patio staring at the navy blue glass bathroom cup I purchased at a garage sale for ten cents, last summer. There is a handmade Avery address label on it, which says, “MOM’S PENCILS!” written with a thick black marker and a gigantic exclamation mark. I did this in an attempt to protect my pencils from my future writer daughter, who never has days like this o… Continue

Where did 2008 go? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage you to take a little time to visit a couple new pages each week. The photos, videos, blurbs, excerpts, bios, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

The Tipping Point Workshops (TTP WORKSHOP TAB),
The Contest announcement page (CONTEST TAB)
The Bookmark giveaway page (BOOKMARK TAB)
The Free reads page (FREE READS TAB).

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Lastly, you’ll notice a new WRDFCalendar Tab on your page. What a nice way to keep all our members notified of current and up-coming events. You’ll notice that Fridays are Guest blog days at Between the Lines. Why not take a moment, check the calendar, and reserve a couple of spots for yourself during 2009. You can request your dates at: promo@lyndacoker.com

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda

If you write Christian historicals set in 1800s, there's a Yahoo marketing group for you http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CROWNfictionmarketing/ Unfortunately, I don't write that period. The idea of such a group is a good one.
