Baby Chace is Here!

Whew! Chace arrived at 11:20 am today.

Okay, so now I can relax and figure out how I can cyber-spoil him. *grin*

I was worried that everyone would be exhausted because the doctors induced labor Monday morning bright and early. Absolutely nothing happened all day yesterday.

My son called me at 4 am this morning to tell me nothing was happening. I tried to convince him they should try to rest before the 'real' labor started. Bless his heart. ;o)

Then I finally got the call. I talked to a son w… Continue

I'm Going to be a Grandma Monday

Yay!

But... I'm so worried because young Chace is going to come into this world early. Sure my sons were both preemies. They survived and I was truly blessed.

I never expected my sons to have to go through this though. So now it's happening for my eldest and I secretly fret with worry.

Why?

The doctors say that although baby Chace's momma is healthy, our newest family member isn't growing inside the womb. They want to take him out early--so Monday is the day.

Every moment counts and all I c… Continue

Watching him, his handsome features expressing a newfound awe, took Shayla’s breath away.
“You can call me Kal. That’s what my close friends do.” He sighed and leaned in, brushing lips across her cheek, and then mouth.

I can’t believe it’s November already. Where has this year gone? I guess when you’re busy time really does fly because mine has certainly taken wing.

WRDF launched in February of 2008 and its membership has grown steadily. I hope that means we are doing something right for our members.

We have some fabulously talented writers among us. I would encourage each member to take a little time day to visit a couple new pages each week. The book covers, blurbs, excerpts, bios, photos, blogs, graphics, and I could go on and on, are super fun and so interesting. No one has an excuse to be bored on this site with so much to read and see.

I hope you’ve kept up with WRDF’S newest features, The Tipping Point Workshops, our contest announcement page, our bookmark giveaway page, and our free reads page. All are great promotional opportunities for writers and great fun for our readers.

Our book discussion club, LOST IN A GOOD BOOK, is going strong. We’ve had good participation and if you haven’t kept up with some of our adventurous discussion comments, you’ve missed the action.

We’ve also launched a new online newsletter, WRDF Online. Be sure to open and read your copy when it comes. You never know what you might be missing.

Thank you for spending time with us. Stay safe and well,
Lynda
