Agatha Christie and Bernard Cornwell are my favorites. I just finished Dark Carnival by James A. Moore - strange!

Hi all,

I'm a YA Fantasy Author, but I must admit I love Stephen King, especially his Dark Tower series! I enjoy reading (or listening to books on tape) Dean Koontz also.

If you'd like to check out my books, visit my website at www.mjallaire.com or my myspace page at www.myspace.com/mjallaire.

Happy reading and happy summer!!

I love Bertrice Small. I have every book she has ever written. She has such a special way of drawing you into her books and keeping you there permanently! I have shared emails with her and she encourages me on my writing career. Please pick up her book Skye O'Malley to start with...you wil be hooked I promise. But beware she is a Rated R+++, but very tastefully done. She keeps the sensuality within the confines of the time period, which is usually during Queen Elizabeths life time. The court that traveled with the Queen was a rawdy place to be...

Oh wanted to add what i'm starting now, THE LEOPARD PRINCE by Elizabeth Hoyt. Loved the first book in this trilogy, THE RAVEN PRINCE, so I'm behind since these were out last year but they are worth it!

I have too many favorites of authors and books to list. Honest, its what I'm reading at the moment if its a great read, its a great book and a keeper! I think so many authors are deserving of being the 'one' because of so many unique writing voices, stories and too readers who enjoy a variety! So with this weeks reads so far, my favorits are D. A. Wallace and Elizabeth Hoyt! Can't wait to share more as I read!

I'm going to post in a bit, but I had just the wonderful joy to read AGAINST THE ODDS by D. A. Wallace. I so needed a romance suspense with a tough hero and just a great strong romance with it as well, and this had it and so much more. Sarah wasn't what I expected but she was so perfect for this book, she is herself! and the author didn't change her! She was strong in her own ways that made Sarah unique. With the hero Clint, gosh, these two were perfect together as they grew on together. I love a Mercenary!!! Now I have to put the other two of hers from NCP on my wishlist! I'll be putting up a full review here later this week!

My favorite author of all times is Patricia Cornwell. I absolutely love her Kay Scarpetta series. Of course, I am right into law enforcement as well.
A few other top notch authors that I really enjoy are/were: Robert Jordan (Eye of the World series), Terry Goodkind (Sword of Truth series), Mercedes Lackey (Heralds of Valdemar series), James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, John Grisham, Nora Roberts and Bertrice Small.
If I could interview my favorite author, Patricia Cornwell, I would ask if I could work with her doing research for her next Scarpetta book, and where she got her inspiration.

Jill, Barara is one of my very favorite authors, and, actually a dear friend of mine. Favorite author came first *grin*, and then I met her at a conference through another mutual friend. Geeze, I get around. Ahem. ; )

Carla,

Since I review for a website and I love to read I have read a lot of books lately, a couple that come to mind as really recommended reads are: The Madness of Celia Summers by Charlotte Chalmers, and Mis-Staked by J. Morgan. I also recently read Raine by Elizabeth Amber (it's the second in her trilogy of the Lords of the Satyr) it was also great - and very spicy.

Hope you're having a great day!
