WRITERS and READERS of DISTINCTIVE FICTION(WRDF)

My e-book: "50 Frogs, 5 Babes and a Bulldog" will soon be out in print. I am very excited. I've compiled a list of ways to promote the book outside of the usual internet sources that I've already used. Can anyone suggest ways to promote the book outside of the usual book signings, radio station and library and group presentations?

Very nice site! I love the color and the pictures.
Thanks Shelley.
Susan,

My book. . .AND THE WHIPPOORWILL SANG is a very funny, sad, poignant family memoir, and I have found that I sell best at community affairs, nursing homes, class reunions, PTA meetings, speaking to appropriate age school classrooms, grandmother clubs, Chamber of commerce affairs, and Red Hat lady affairs ,as well raffling the book off to various fund raisers. I still do book signings but stay within my own area so I get better known in my own largely populated cityarea,.The book signings are tough sells in this economy because the best selling authors can reduce their best sellers to 6 dollars for hard cover and we can't afford that. Look in your newspaper for community affairs and of course ask your local newspapers to do a "resident sells book" story on you and a book review. Let me know how this pans out and as I find more, I'll let you know. Good luck!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm new to the area but plan on getting acquainted with lots of people. I've already joined the "Newcomers Club."
Micki,

These are great ideas for alternative places and events to do book signings and promotion events.

Thanks,
Dianne
Susan,

Congratulations on your book release. I love your title!
I went to a craft fair and set up a table. Sold 15 books. It was unusual but it worked.

Set up your website to sell copies of your book with a Paypal account and then promote your website. I've sold about 40 books that way.
