This would include covers WHICH ARE SEXUALLY EXPLICIT, erotic in nature, contain nudity, and excerpts and blurbs with R ratings. This site must be accessible to all ages. Members are at liberty to post their website, myspace, facebook, etc. on their community page. Think of Writers and Readers of Distinctive Fiction as a mini web presence that can be an effective vehicle for meeting new people, all of which can then visit your bigger sites for a more complete coverage of your work.

Those of you who start groups will be fully responsible to see that your group complies with the standards set out above.

WRDF is an open community. We encourage the promotional efforts of our members as long as our content rules are respected. Feel free to discuss marketing efforts taking place on other social sites, networking forums, and loops. We're interested in your activity and the advancement of your writing career.

We have many who are readers only in our community, as well. We welcome you and are always open to suggestions to make your experience with us more enjoyable.

Greetings to all members of WRDF.
Coming soon,
I'd like to prepare all members of upcoming changes to this site, as the new owner
of WRDF. First, and foremost, I'd like to thank Lynda Coker for
this wonderful opportunity. I am grateful, and honored. She created
a unique website that many authors have considered it to be a
place, home-away-from-home, including me. The upcoming changes
that will soon take place is that it will be an Advertising Free website.
Therefore, the appearance of the side walls, and the Main page
will change. All Restrictions and guidelines will remain in effect
as they are now. My goal is to maintain a respected, professional
site as I follow in the footsteps of Lynda Coker. She has been an
exceptional leader, and teacher for many. My aim is to continue
the same stability as it is now. I welcome all new members, and
I will do my best to help with those who have questions. This will
become my second home, and when I'm not here, many who know
me will find me on Myspace, Twitter and FaceBook as I continue
my mission in Promotions. I can be emailed here, or at [e-mail].
WRDF will continue to be an enjoyable community for writers and readers
from all walks of life. I wish you all a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving.

No problem with the rules. I think it's great that this is a well monitored site & I can appreciate the limits to what is allowed. :)

I did look around at the other book covers posted & went by what I saw, using them as a guideline to what was acceptable. If for some reason any of my covers are offensive, please let me know as I have no problem taking them down. :)

I look forward to meeting lots of new friends & getting updates on the new books out there.

Thank you, when you told me that I should read new members info, you had me frightened, I thought I did something wrong. I agree with everything I read there. thanks. My books are for young people, although I have a large following of older folk for some reason that I can't figure out unless they want to associate with a young audience. I don't know, but we do have fun.

Today I was at church and the sermon was to Pray for someone, I prayed for the entire group here, I could not wait till the Sermon was over to come home and go on here and maybe be allowed to post some more stories.

I have a few questions. Doen't anyone worry about people stealing others works? Has this issue been addressed?

Not that I really care about some of my posts. The stories that I write are stories that I hope will go into a compliation of group stories, so I can show off my works on what I do.

All My works are copyrighted anyways, but I just wonder. I am just curious. On other sites they can not guarntee this, what about here?bThanks and Thank you for a great warm welcome from all of you. Why is WRDF Restricted as to Content

Like every community, when putting together my vision for WRDF I took several things into consideration. One of those was to try and keep this site unrestricted as to age and to keep it appropriate to a moderate, conventional tone.

Alternative lifestyles, graphic violence, dark literature, erotica content, and so forth, are elements that do not fit that criteria.

While I appreciate that not everyone's views are the same on this matter, and I respect that, I knew it was up to me to set the standards for my own site, regardless of what other sites promoted or permitted. I am not judging or condemning the personal choices of others, just trying to uphold my own.

Everyone is welcome at WRDF. I do not pry or screen members before accepting them into our community, I only ask that the content used here meet our community standards.
